Parma is the only italian Creative City of Gastronomy Unesco. Our Ducal city won the competition against Burgos (spain) and Portland (US).
Thanks to food and wine excellences Parma has full rights entered in the Creative City of Gastronomy list by Unesco.
Parma Ham, Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, Culatello, Wine from Parma Hills are only an example of excellences that express the distinctiveness of our territory. Traditional dishes, unique flavors, great Chefs that reinvent and enrich tradition with new emotions: inestimable assets of our tradition that has given us the opportunity to become a Creative City for Gastronomy Unesco.

In these days olso Roma enter in Creative City Unesco List in Film category.
Other italian creative City are: Bologna creative city of Music, Creative City of Craft and Folk Arts and Torino Creative City of Design. Creative contests are seven: Crafts & Folk Art, Design, Film, Gastronomy, Literature, Music and Media Arts.
Other Creative City of Gastronomy are: Östersund (Sweden), Zahlé (Lebanon), Floriabopolis (Brasil), Popayán (Colombia) , Chengdu e Shunde (China), Jeonju (Sud Korea), Tsuruoka (Japan).
